the rounded sides rising from a tapering foot to a slightly flaring rim, the exterior painted with four gilt-bordered roundels enclosing landscapes and divided by leafy lotus strapwork, all reserved on a ruby ground incised with feathery scrolls, the interior left plain with a gilt rim

Condition

The bowl is in good condition with the exception of wear to the gilt borders, a slightly uneven rim, surface scratchings and other glaze firing imperfections such as burst glaze bubbles, iron spots etc.
