Description
- Porcelain
of graduated size, each painted around the four sides with individual depictions of couples engaged in various amorous pursuits within an interior setting, the rims gilt, the largest with the seal mark in iron-red enamel
Condition
The set is in excellent condition with the exception of minor surface scratchings and glaze firing imperfections. There are occasional adhesion of sand grits along the rims. The third smallest cup has a 0.2cm glaze pull to the interior; the fourth cup has two discoloured burst glaze bubbles (0.1 x 0.1cm each); the fifth cup has a discoloured burst glaze bubble (0.1 x 0.1cm) and a 0.6cm firing crack to the exterior near the rim; the eighth cup with two circular glaze pulls (0.2 x 0.2cm) to the interior.
