A RARE PORCELAIN 'LAC BURGAUTE' BOWL AND COVER QING DYNASTY, EARLY 18TH CENTURY

the deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a flaring lipped rim, the exterior decorated in mother-of-pearl against a gilt-ground with figures within in rocky garden landscape with gnarled trees and shrubs, all above a chevron border, the rim encircled with a diamond band, glazed white in the interior, the cover with matching decoration and a stylised shou character roundel at the top

This bowl and cover is generally in good condition, but there is a continuous line of cracking to the lacquer 1cm below the rim. There is also some further cracking at the foot and some slight losses at the footrim. There is some loss of lacquer to the top of the cover and a small area to the rim.
