  • Gilt bronze
naturalistically cast in the form of a recumbent ram, with its legs tucked under its body, with curled horns, its body finely incised with short flecks to suggest its coat

Condition

The gilding on the bronze is largely rubbed in places, particularly to the extremities such as the eyes, ears and underside of the ram. There are minor dents and casting flaws including three circular bumps (the largest measuring circa 0.4 x 0.4cm) to the back. The base has a 0.8 x 0.9cm circular aperture.
