the conical sides rising from a slightly spreading foot to a lipped rim, freely carved to the interior with a flying goose clutching a leafy sprig in its beak, all encircled by meandering leafy scrolls, covered overall with a transparent olive-green glaze suffused with a network of crackle

Condition

An old chip to the outer foot ring, measuring approximately 8mm by 2mm with associated shallow losses. Some kiln grit adhered to base and shallow glaze flakesand pulls surrounding the foot ring. The glaze with a buff network of crackle all over. Inscribed 'WST' to the unglazed base; with a Bluett's label.
