raised on three cabriole legs issuing from mythical-beast heads, the compressed globular body set to each side with further mythical-beast heads suspending loose ring handles and carved in high relief with a single phoenix below the rim, the high domed cover carved in high relief with three rams and surmounted by a lotus lappet finial, the stone of a variegated vibrant apple-green and lavender tone

Condition

One of the dragon handles has two broken sections which has now been readhered with a 0.8 x 0.8cm area of loss at the dragon's tooth. The censer has distinct veining with associated flakes around one of the dragon handles. There are other minute chips to the extremities and rim edges.
