Description

  • jade
of rectangular form, carved and undercut with a sinuous slender dragon in profile flanked by a bat and a phoenix amid scrolling lotus, all on a ground of dense foliate scrolls, the stone of an even white tone

Condition

The plaque is in good condition in general with the exception of minor chips and losses (circa 0.3cm) particularly to the thin tendrils of the foliate scroll, and nibbling along the edges of the carving.
