Description

  • jade
of circular form, carved on both sides around the central aperture with the grain pattern of small spiral bosses, encircled by a rope-twist band and an outer register of archaistic taotie masks, the stone of faint honey-brown tone gradating to a chocolate brown on the lower third with faint darker brown inclusions

Condition

The bi is in good condition with the exception of minor nibbling along the edges and rubbing to the surface.
