the slightly flattened pear-shaped body rising from a spreading foot to a flaring neck, set to one side with a strap handle surmounted by a chilong and to the other with an elegant curved spout issuing from a dragon mask and joined to the body with a ruyi strut, carved to the front face with pine trees in a landscape and to the reverse with a poetic calligraphic inscription above a peach branch, all surmounted by a stepped domed cover with bird finial

Condition

The ewer is in very good condition with the exception of minor nibbling and small chips along the edges of the mouthrim, spout, and the footring. The stone has natural veining with associated flakes.
