of rectangular section, the waisted neck flanked by a pair of angular scroll handles, the tapering sides carved with a band of archaistic taotie masks, to the right a boy dressed in loose fitting robes, his hair tied into two topknots, the raised hands carrying a leafy spray of lotus extended to the back of the vase, the stone of an even white tone with milky inclusions

The vase is in excellent condition with the exception of minor nicks to the extremities and occasional short marks (circa 0.2cm) at the edges of the waisted neck.
