carved in the form of a lobed eight-seeded lotus pod wrapped in two large worm-eaten leaves perched with a small bird, a lotus blossom borne on curly tendrils rising at the side, the stone of an even white tone flecked with russet inclusions

Condition

In excellent condition; the stone of a pure, even white tone with russet staining to one side. Minute nicks to the extremities of the curled lotus leaf and lotus pod.
