the ruyi-shaped terminal finely carved with a stylised shou character roundel encircled by five bats, impressed with two seals on the underside one reading 'qing shang' ('pure appreciation') and the other Jingde Tang jian cang bao ('Treasure for Appreciation from the Hall of Respected Virtues') the elegantly arched shaft polished and undecorated, the translucent stone of an even pale celadon tone

Condition

The ruyi sceptre is of excellent condition with the exception of minor chips and nibbling along the edges of the curved shaft.
