A FINE WHITE JADE 'BOY AND LOTUS' GROUP QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

finely and intricately worked to depict a recumbent boy supported on a large lotus leaf, clasping a lotus leaf in his hand, with a basket of peaches before him and a small tree shrew clambering up his leg, the jade of a pure, even white tone with russet inclusions to the reverse and underside

The carving is in excellent condition with the exception of minor nibbling along the extremities, such as minor nicks and light bruising along the rim of the basket with peaches (the largest measuring circa 0.3cm).
