- Jade
of rectangular form, carved to the front face with two five-clawed dragons plunging and swooping amid vaporing clouds around a central flaming pearl, the reverse with an inscription in gilt reading Qianlong sui zai jihai jiapingyue shangwan yubi ('written by the Qianlong emperor in the first half of the twelth month of jihai year', corresponding to 1779) followed by Qianlong square seals
Condition
The plaque has a minor chip (0.2 x 0.3cm) to the bottom corner at the reverse side. Apart from other natural nicks to the stone, the piece is in excellent condition.
