- jade
comprising: two archaistic gu-shaped vases; a spinach jade tripod censer and cover, raised on three animal mask cabriole legs and decorated with floral blooms; a jade ewer and cover, carved in low relief to the front and back with two chilong below a stylised shou character; and an archaistic jadeite vase, flanked by two animal handles suspending loose rings, the exterior carved with taotie masks and plantain leaves
Condition
The larger gu-shaped vase has one of its flanges broken off by a clean break and another half of the bottom flange chipped off.
The spinach jade censer has short vertical knife marks (circa 1cm) at the shoulders.
All the pieces are in reasonably good condition with the exception of minor nibbling along the edges and natural nicks to the stones.
