the shallow sides rising from a tapering foot to a lipped rim, painted to the centre with a five-clawed dragon in frontal pose and a flaming pearl surrounded by four others, all amid stylised cloud wisps and flames below a border of cresting waves, the exterior similarly decorated with four sinuous dragons striding on foaming waves
Condition
The base of the dish is slightly sunken, there is a 0.3 x 0.2cm iron spot to the centre and minor chips and nibbling along the rim. Aside from minor glaze firing imperfections such as iron spots and burst glaze bubbles, the dish is in overall good condition.
