Description

of baluster shape with flat back, set at the shoulders with a pair of animal mask handles suspending mock rings, painted in bright cobalt-blue tones with stylised floral blooms borne on a meandering leafy scroll flanked by two raised fillet painted with a fish-roe pattern, all below a single floral spray with scrolling foliage and above an undulating lingzhi scroll, the neck and the foot encircled with a keyfret band, pierced at the back for suspension

Condition

The wall vase is in very good condition with the exception of a glaze flake to the right rear corner of the rim (approximately 10mm x 5mm), and chip above the aperture to reverse, measuring approximately 9mm x 6mm; and 3 star cracks to the base. Small frits to the rings on the handles and light glaze scratches.
