Description
- gilt-bronze
cast standing with head lowered and legs slightly bent, the right arm lowered and the left hand raised in vitarkamudra with uptala lotuses rising to the left shoulder, dressed in a loose dhoti with beaded jewellery and a long billowing scarf, the face depicted with a contemplative expression flanked by a five-leaf diadem and large pendent earrings
Condition
The figure is in reasonable condition with the exception of verdigris deposits and general rubbing to the gilding, particularly evident in the extremities. The back of the figure has a 1.5 x 1.5cm square-shaped opening near the bottom.
