the cylindrical sides rising from a flared foot and surmounted by a straight neck with a galleried rim, the body painted in bright enamels with squared panels depicting precious objects, riverscapes, figures, animals and mythical beasts, alternating with smaller rectangular panels enclosing prunus, peonies, hibiscus, chrysanthemum, magnolia, lotus and camellia, all reserved on a black-stippled green ground dispersed with flower heads, encircling the angular shoulders a diaper band with four roundels each enclosing a stylised shou character, the neck with two rectangular panels enclosing landscapes divided by floral roundels, all set against a cellular diaper ground
Condition
The rouleau vase is in excellent condition with the exception of minor glaze firing imperfections such as iron spots, burst glaze bubbles etc. and minor surface scratchings.
