the baluster body resting on a countersunk base and a broad wedge-shaped foot, painted in various shades of cobalt-blue with two rectangular panels each enclosing a qilin standing on cragged rockwork rising from breaking waves before misty mountains in the distance, all framed above and below by underglaze blue lines, the trumpet neck with wide flaring rim similarly decorated with a raised fillet below
Condition
The vase is in good condition with the exception of a three-point hairline crack to the base (the longest arm measuring 8cm), minor surface scratchings and glaze firing imperfections such as iron spots, burst glaze bubbles etc.
