the straight sides rising from a short foot and surmounted by a straight neck with a galleried rim, the body painted in various shades of cobalt-blue with scholars in a mountainous river landscape with barren trees and misty clouds and fishermen at work in the foreground, encircling the neck with a raised fillet below a band of circles and keyfret pattern and above a band of swirls and pendent ruyi lappets, the base with a double circle in underglaze blue

Condition

The rouleau vase is in excellent condition with the exception of minor glaze firing imperfections such as burst glaze bubbles and iron spots.
