each of high rounded form, the domed covers well-carved in relief through layers of ochre, green and red lacquer with a central medallion depicting scholars and attendants outside a pavilion surrounded by mountains and foliage, all on diaper ground and withing a keyfret border repeated on the rim, the sides carved with rectangular cartouches of scholars in nature reserved on a diaper ground, continuing on the box, supported on a straight foot with keyfret band, the interior and base lacquered black, wood stands(6)
