Description

  • Gilt-bronze
cast standing in tribhanga on a lotus shape platform base with a long prong underneath, dressed in a dhoti with crisp folds and a flowing shawl trailing to the foot, adorned with a crown with ten small heads in three tiers and six arms, the forearms held in anjali mudra, the back arms raised holding a pierced star-shaped symbol of the sun and a lotus, the lower arms held at the side holding the ambrosia vase and prayer beads, the back with pierced tabs on the neck and lower legs, with worn gilding with mottled green encrusted patina

Condition

In good overall condition. There is a chip to the left side of teh headdress, approximately 1/4 inch. The gilding is worn. There are some very small chips to the star-shaped symbol.
