of broad baluster form, carved around the body in low relief with a pine tree on one side and a blossoming prunus tree on the reverse, the neck flanked by a pair of archaistic scroll handles, all supported by a large phoenix with elaborate plummage, with eyes and ruyi-head form tail inlaid with three tiger's eye beads, the cover surmounted by a small seated phoenix (2)

Condition

In overall very good condition. There is a minute chip to the mouthrim. There is a russet fissure which runs diagonally across the vase which has been incorporated into the design. In good overall condition. The actual color of the piece is slightly less orange than shown in the catalogue.
