well carved, of flattened zhadou form, the rounded sides carved in shallow relief with four medallions enclosing auspicious symbols, a band of bats flying amidst a flower scroll on the wide flared mouth and repeated around the domed cover, the reticulated chilong knop encircled by a band of raised ruyi-heads, the stone of even tone, carved wood stand (3)

Condition

The bowl and cover are in overall good condition. There is a tiny rim frit due to a natural vein in the stone. There is a 3 inch fissure running horizontally across the bowl. The actual color of the bowl is slightly less green than the illustration in the catalogue.
