Description

consisting of six mustard-yellow silk sections, woven with twelve scaly ferocious dragons in pursuit of 'flaming pearls' arranged in three rows, leaping towards the central vertical axis amidst scrolling clouds above waves and rockwork, all framed within a similarly decorated border of sinuous dragons writhing amongst whirling clouds against an earthy-yellow ground, possibly an altar frontal

Condition

There are some openings and loose threads to the panel. It is possibly made by assembling loose brocade sections, and framed with an older border. The backing is probably a later addition.
