4to (6 1/4 x 4 3/4 in; 160 x 120 mm). Original pencil sketch initial signed by Ruskin of a priest in a Gothic altar/alcove praying to a host of angels above pasted onto blank as a frontispiece. Contemporary crushed burgundy morocco by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, ruled in gilt with gilt florals at corners, top edge gilt; upper joint a little rubbed, one lower corner bumped, gilt-ruled morocco turn-ins have offset onto endleaves.
