Catalogue Note

A fine graphic series of plates depicting major events of the American Revolution, intended for European consumption. The series consists of a title with medallions offering a summary of the war, twelve tableaux after Godefroy, Fauvel, Le Barbier, Le paon, Marilllier, Lanson, and William. The first map records population tallies of the colonies while the second designates the concessions England made to France and Spain according to the Treaty of 1783.
