Catalogue Note
Progress on all fronts. In an endearing letter to his mother, Utrillo tries to allay any fears she has regarding his well-being. In fact he writes of good news: "This afternoon towards evening, I have finished the painting of the Saint-Loger-Brouilly Castle. I still have two canvasses, work on which is rather advanced. Work on the house is making progress and the roof is almost finished. Only the joints have to be installed." He reassures her and asks her not to worry: "Everything is all right here except the weather, which is rainy and begins definitely to get chilly."
