Autograph letter signed in full and with postscript signed ('C.M.'), in French, 2 pages (7 x 4 1/2 in.; 180 x 113 mm), Giverny, 25 May 1890, to an unidentified correspondent; some fading of ink; matted, glazed, and framed with an image of his painting, Les Barques, Régates à Argenteuil.

A warm letter of thanks. Monet apologizes profusely for the delay in extending his thanks to his correspondent for "the delightful package." He notes it was a great pleasure "to open that marvel." In his postscript the artist praises his correspondent: "If I were not so far from the quai Malaquais, I would go to your fine exhibition every day. My thanks likewise for the pleasure I enjoyed there."
