A fine selection of letters by French artists. The group includes: Rosa Bonheur. Two autograph letters signed, 4 pages and 2 pages, in French, Paris, 12 September 1897 and undated, to Adele and Monsieur Marc, noting she is like an old bear vacillating between the desire to go for a visit in another world and the joy, still, strong, to find new colors and canvasses to paint and letting Monsieur Marc know she  has no finished paintings and she will not have time to complete any before he leaves. — Pierre Bonnard. Autograph letter signed, 1 page, in French, Villa du Bosquet. Le Canet, 3 June 1946, to an unidentified woman regarding illustrations for one of Gide's works. — Eugène Boudin. Autograph letter signed, 4 pages, [no place] , 24 December 1897, to his brother Louis conveying he is weary of everything. — Gustave Doré. lengthy autograph letter signed with two drawings, in French,  8 pages, [London] 13 July 1877, to a friend regarding his current artistic endeavors; accompanied by a carte-de-visite photograph signed. — Armand Guillaumin.
