Paris: Chez  Pierre Trabouillet, 1687. 2 volumes, 12mo (6 1/8 x 3 3/8 in.; 155 x 85 mm). 2 engraved frontispieces (one signed Le Brun) and 10 engraved plates by  F. Chaveau, printer's ornaments, woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces; washed and pressed with residual browning, especially in vol. 1, lacking final blank in vol. 2. Full red morocco by Pouillet, triple filleted boards, spines in 6 compartments tooled and lettered gilt, gilt dentelles, edges gilt; spines lightly faded. Second collected edition, including the first printing of Phèdre. Tchemerzine IX:359. — EstherParis: Chez Denys Thierry, 1689. 12mo (6 1/4 x 3 1/2 in.; 158 x 90 mm). Engraved frontispiece bound before A1; closed tear to H1, lacks final blank. Full red morocco by Hardy-Mennil, triple filleted boards, the spine in 6 compartments richly gilt, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, edges gilt.  First edition in 12mo format, published the same year as the 4to edition.Tchemerzine IX:348.
