Catalogue Note
Number 100 of 100 copies, signed by the Sandow Birk the illustrator.
Birk, along with Marcus Sanders, adapted Dante's Divine Comedy into 21st century Southern California, setting the poem among the neon and asphalt while Dante and Virgil discuss faith and philosophy. Birk uses Doré's illustration as a starting point for his own, thoroughly modern interpretation.
