Condition

The sculpture is in good condition. Several cracks were noted in the resin. These cracks were located on the figure's right leg and on his back. There is some slight discoloration around several of the cracks on the right leg where an attempt to stabilize the cracks was made. At present the cracks are stable and not active. The painted finish on the resin is painterly and in good condition. Minor paint loss was found on some of the red wheels. Some caulk reside was found on the inside surface of one of the back wheels. On the inside surface of each wheel there is a loss of resin where the rod is threaded into the wheels. New hair has been added to the horse's mane where it had previously been missing. Adhesive residue was seen on the figure's hand where he holds the reins. It is most likely the reins have been reattached at a later date.
