Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good. There is dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age, including a few minor nicks and scratches. There is rubbing to the patina throughout, particularly on the legs and torso. The left corner of the integral base has been reattached; the joint at the side is slightly open. There are three small holes in the back of the base, a hole in the right side, a small hole in the front, and a number of stable visible original casting plugs. There is a small visible lacuna in the back of the neck. A piece of wood has been inserted into the underside of the base. There is a lacuna in the right side of the base due to a short pour.
