on loan to Muiderslot Castle, Muiden, 1957- at least 1973;
restituted to the heirs of Jacob and Rosa Oppenheimer in 2011

Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a number of stable slightly visible casting joints, including at the tops of both legs, at the proper left arm and two at the lightning bolts either side of the hand. The casting joint at the top of the proper right arm has been repaired and the arm possibly reattached. There is a restored fissure and a plug in this area. There are a number of original casting plugs visible. There are two small holes in the underside of the raised proper left foot and a small hole in the top of the club. The condition of the base is excellent with minor dirt and wear.
