Condition

Original canvas. Under UV light there is some retouching, notably to a 3 by 8cm repaired tear where the guitar meets her knee, a repaired puncture in her breast (both visible under UV light), and some minor spots in her back and shoulder. There is dirt between the varnish layers, and the colours are overall darker and more muted than in the catalogue illustration. Held in an elaborate gold-painted rococo-style frame.
