Catalogue Note

This portrait of Jaroslava, Alphonse Mucha's daughter, is a study for the figure of Slavia in the poster The Eighth Sokol Festival 1926, executed in 1925. The present work would therefore be dated circa 1924-5, when Jaroslava was sixteen years old.
