Condition

Under UV light there are a few minor scattered spots of old retouching in the sky, notably in the right quarter (barely visible under an opaque varnish), with a few very thin strokes addressing scratches. There is some hairline craquelure visible on very close inspection, notably in the centre of the sky and foliage left of centre. The work is ready to hang. Held in a 20th Century gold and cream painted frame with a beaded inset.
