Catalogue Note

"...On April 28 1988 I found myself on a most disagreeable river trip to Bogotá in the company of Henry James..."

Malcolm Bradbury, who reviewed A World of My Own for the New York Times, described Greene's dreamscape as "an entirely recognizable realm of Greene's imagination: a hidden part of the place we have learned to call Greeneland, which has its own rules, atmospherics, guilts, confessions and redemptions."
