8vo, second edition, presentation copy from the editor, with slip affixed to front endpaper ("Marlborough Pryor | from | Francis Darwin | Nov 1887"), autograph letter signed by the editor tipped-in, apologising that Pryor's name had originally been omitted from his list of presentation copies (2 pages, Wychfield, Huntingdon Road, Cambridge, no date) and presenting him with this copy ("...will you please me by pasting in the enclosed slip...), original grey-green cloth, foxed, hinges starting or fragile, some wear and discolouration to covers
