Catalogue Note
The artist has titled the drawing 'Rescue of Piglet' before quoting Milne's text. The drawing was reproduced, as a full-page illustration, within Winnie-the-Pooh (published in 1926) on page 129. It accompanies chapter IX in which 'Piglet is entirely surrounded by water'.
