Catalogue Note
Louder and Funnier, a collection of essays mostly derived from Vanity Fair magazine, was published in 1932 by Faber and Faber. In Performing Flea (published in 1953), Wodehouse wrote 'the best thing about Louder and Funnier is the jacket by Rex Whistler'.
There are pencil sketches on the verso of the artist's board by Whistler.
