Literature

The Odyssey Press edition was first published on 1st December 1932; this is the second impression, printed in October 1933. The edition, revised by Stuart Gilbert at the request of Joyce, is considered one of the most authoritative and accurate texts of Ulysses (the many later "corrected" texts notwithstanding). The plates were allegedly destroyed in Hamburg during the Second World War.
