Catalogue Note

This collection was formerly in the possession of Harold Scott (known as "Scotty" to his regiment). The first reunion dinner of the 24th Brigade R.G.A. was held on 29 April 1922. Harold Scott appears to have attended the first ten, then the fourteenth through to the eighteenth dinner held on 29 April 1939. For the eighth dinner, in 1928, 'Major Ernest H. Shepard, M.C., 105 Siege Battery' was 'in the chair'. The Christmas or New Year Greetings cards are mostly undated. Three are dated 1920, 1924 and 1948 respectively. Three cards show characters from The Wind in the Willows and one shows Winnie-the-Pooh with Piglet and Eeyore.
