Catalogue Note

"Like many contemporary artists, I was intrigued by collage. For me it was a natural medium because twentieth-century walls are themselves huge collages. The materials I used were often dirty posters and papers taken from actual walls. Collage was a logical step towards the effect of three dimensions in my work."
