Condition
This work is in good condition overall. The work is in two parts. Cracks and abrasions in the flattened part, with consequent weakening, are due to the artist's working method. There is oxidation visible on both parts, although it is more apparent on the flattened part. One handle on the bottom element has recently been restored; stainless steal pins were inserted at the points where the handle had come free from the base and an epoxy adhesive was used to affix the joints. The restoration has very minimal aesthetic impact. This object should not be exposed to heat.
