Condition
This condition report has been prepared by Simon Parkes: This painting is currently still stretched as it was originally intended on its original stretcher. The paint layer is stable and the stretcher is appropriate. There are no retouches. The sides are designed to be viewed and although slightly soiled, they are healthy.
The surface of the painting has received a few small dents in the lower right and left of the white section and in the center left of the white section. It is conceivable that these can be corrected to a degree if the work is removed from the stretcher and relaxed. Our advice is to engage a restorer to properly relax the canvas by removing it from the stretcher, at which point the disturbances to the surface mentioned above will most likely be considerably, if not totally eliminated.
