Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant, and the illustration fails to fully convey the silver pigment of the background in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a tiny pin-prick sized shallow dent to the canvas below the centre of the left extreme edge, and some light wear to the lower left extreme corner tip and towards the lower right corner on the right extreme edge. On close examination there are extremely light residual impressions scattered throughout. A tiny surface accretion is visible on close inspection beneath the left hand mushroom. No restoration is visible when examined under ultraviolet light.

Catalogue Note
"I thought that, by uniting the eroticism and the magic side of mushrooms, I could use them as a motif in my work."
