The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the illustration fails to convey fully the three-dimensionality of the sculpture and the recessive depth of the carving in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Around the extreme edges of the work there are a number of tiny chips and spots of wear to the alabaster, most notably to a few of the extreme corner tips. Upon close examination there are a few fine and unobtrusive and isolated surface scratches throughout. Some light surface dust fibres have accumulated in the recessed parts of the sculpture.
